Our new air filter test standard ISO16890 certification service
ISO16890:2016 will be officially implemented in August 2018, replacing EN779 as the new filter industry standard, and you can contact us for any questions about testing and certification. What are the differences between ISO16890 and existing standards?
1. Compared with the existing standard, the new test method has higher requirements in many aspects. This will put higher demands on filter performance, thereby better improving indoor air quality and protecting human health.
2. The new test method is closer to the operating performance of the air filter in the real application environment.
3. The classification method targets the filter performance of three different particle size particles (PM1, PM2.5, PM10).
4.More importantly, the smallest particle size segment of the three particles, commonly known as PM1, is the ultra-fine particle that is most harmful to human health.
