The Australian/New Zealand Standards AS 1172.1-2005 and AS 1172.2-2005 for Ceramic sanitary ware products have been updated to the 2014 edition



AS 1172.1-2014

This standard replaces AS 1172.1-2005, Water closets, Part 1: Pans, which are revised from 2005 as follows:

1. Identify flushing devices outside the water tank;

2. Improved test tolerances, instruments and procedures;

3.Amend procedures to meet the requirements of the Water Efficiency Labelling Standards (WELS) scheme to make test results more consistent in test laboratories.

 

AS 1172.2-2014

This standard replaces AS 1172.1-2005, Water closets, Part 2, which is revised from the 2005 version as follows:

(i) to amend the experimental procedure so that the experimental results conform to the WELS standard measured in accredited laboratories. and

(ii) Relevant standards in ATS 5200.016-2010, ATS 5200.017-2005, ATS 5200.020-2004 and ATS 5200.021-2004.

This standard uses "standardized" to define an appendix, which is a part of the standard.

The instructions in the chart are the requirements of this standard.

Additional test requirements identified by the Committee (e.g., half-row tests) may be considered for inclusion in future releases if more data becomes available.
