The "Smart toilet" association standard is expected to be implemented within the year

On March 30, 2016, the "Smart Toilet" Association standard review meeting was successfully held in Taizhou. This meeting is co-sponsored by China Building Materials Federation and China Building Sanitary Ceramics Association. The conference standard aims to guide and standardize the intelligent toilet manufacturers and industries to standardize, make their healthy, orderly and coordinated development, ensure the effective operation of the intelligent toilet quality management system, enhance the value and influence of the intelligent toilet industry, so as to achieve the development, upgrading and innovation of the industry, and enhance the overall development level of the domestic intelligent toilet industry.

Review experts involved in multiple fields to fully demonstrate the feasibility of the standard

The meeting was chaired by Zhou Liwei, professor of the China Building Materials Federation, and the members of the panel of experts of the review meeting were widely representative: Wang Bo, secretary-general of the National Building sanitary Ceramics Standardization Technical Committee, was the leader of the review group, and a number of experts from the association, quality inspection, ceramics, electrical appliances and other industries participated in the review. In addition, technical executives from nearly 150 companies in the industry also participated in the review. "Smart toilet" standard or higher than the Japanese standard

At the meeting, Han Jun, inspector of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, and Miao Bin, executive vice president of the China Building Sanitary Ceramics Association, made guiding speeches respectively. Subsequently, Xu Xiwu, deputy secretary general of China Building Sanitary Ceramics Association, reported the standard review content of the meeting, and explained the smart toilet standard in detail.

On-site experts conduct on-site review of 13 indicators in the intelligent toilet standard, such as function, performance, test methods, inspection rules, signs and labels, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage, and quality assurance. Experts from various industries, scientific research institutions, quality inspection centers, certification centers, etc., and representatives of enterprises offer suggestions and suggestions. Because smart sitting is still in the initial stage of development in China, the technical level is uneven, and the technical standards are very different, and the on-site people have extremely rigorous deliberations on the large number of professional and technical issues involved in the standards. Especially for the core issues of electrical and functional safety, test methods and so on, the field discussion is very intense.

In recent years, the development momentum of smart toilets is strong, and the market space is huge, but the standard of smart toilets for regulating production, effectively monitoring, and coordinating the orderly development of the industry has been missing. Taking into account the intelligent toilet and its supporting products, the production process involves ceramics, plastics, electronics, software applications and other fields, in the use of close contact with the human body, the use of environmental water, electricity, the quality of the product, safety requirements are very high, the need to introduce standards to guide enterprises to the direction of safety and health, improve the manufacturing level of the industry.

The successful holding of this review meeting means that the smart toilet standard is about to be introduced. It is reported that the development of smart toilet standards focuses on making smart toilet functions comfortable and safe. The preparation of the standard mainly refers to Japan, the United States and IEC and other multinational international standards, with comprehensive content and strict technical requirements.
