Summary:
WRAS certification standard 1. Material Approval is tested according to the British standard BS6920. The testing scope includes: plastic parts, rubber hoses and seals, lubricants, coatings, ceramic pieces, magnets, and other materials that may be used in the manufacture of related equipment must comply with the British BS6920 standard. After passing the tests, WRAS will issue a material certificate. The testing of non-metallic materials in the complete product must first pass the WRAS BS6920 test or certification; otherwise, mechanical testing cannot be conducted on the overall product. The BS6920 test items are as follows: odor and taste of water; appearance of water; microbial growth; leaching of toxic metals; leaching of substances affecting public health (cytotoxins). 1. Product Certification (Fittings Approval) product testing is conducted according to the WRAS water service specifications (TCS code). The testing of water fittings is to prove that the products meet the relevant TCS performance standards, which are recognized and acknowledged by the water supply industry. The purpose of testing fittings is to ensure that they do not: damage (including leaks), misuse, improper use, or contaminate water. After passing the tests, a WRAS product certificate is issued. Certified products include: faucets, valves, braided hoses, water heaters, pipes and fittings, toilets, inlet and outlet valves, water meters, flow meters, and water buckets, as well as vehicle washing equipment. Testing content: different products correspond to different testing TCS codes. What are the differences between British BS6920 and Australian AS4020? 1. BS6920 only tests individual components or materials. Watermark AS4020 can test finished products as well as individual materials. 2. The testing content also differs: AS4020 can be considered an upgraded version of the BS6920 standard, which adds Mutagenic activity testing on the basis of BS6920, and the testing limits also differ. What are the differences between British BS6920 and Australian AS4020?
