SABS product certification consists of the following eight categories: chemical products, biological products, fiber products and clothing, mechanical products, safety equipment, electrical products, civil and construction products, and automotive products.
【SABS Certified Product Process 】
1, preliminary data review, cost and certification cycle confirmation, the two sides sign a service contract;
2. After the customer confirms the price, the South African Bureau of Standards will conduct a factory review on the premise that the offer is approved;
3, arrange the factory audit, two auditors will spot check samples back to the laboratory;
4. Product testing;
5, there will be two auditors each year to conduct random reviews, the annual supervision of the review and testing costs will be stated in the contract;
6, the sample of the future test, the South African Bureau of Standards will be extracted from the buyer's goods in South Africa, if the batch of goods is less than 4 times a year, then not enough samples are required to be sent from the factory, the cost will be borne by the factory;
7. If the test result is unqualified, the cost of sample and retest will be borne by the factory;
8. Issue SABS certificate, the validity period of the certificate will be three years, and annual audit and sampling testing will be conducted during the validity period to ensure that the products continue to meet the certification requirements.
What are the requirements of the application process for SABS certified products?
1. Products have corresponding SABS/SANS national standards;
2. The product has passed the corresponding standard test;
3. The quality system meets ISO 9000 requirements or other specified requirements;
4. Only products and quality systems meet the requirements can apply for the use of SABS marks;
5. Routine product testing shall be conducted under guidance, and the test results shall be submitted and disclosed;
6. Quality system evaluation should be conducted at least once a year, and full content evaluation should be required.
