What is lead-free and how is it calculated?
- Definition of lead-free
According to the regulations: the solder and flux used in pipeline products, the lead content can not be higher than 0.2%, in pipeline products and its accessories, according to the formula, the lead content in the water contact part does not exceed 0.25%.
- Calculation method
For example, for pipeline products and accessories, add the product of the lead content of each water component and the percentage of the total water area to the total water area, and the calculated value obtained shall not be greater than 0.25%.
- In special cases, how to calculate low lead?
A. When the lead surface of the sample part is completely enclosed by A rigid liner (e.g., plastic sleeve) with permanent sealing measures to achieve isolation from water, the lead content of the part should be calculated using the lead content of the liner;
B. When there is a coating or coating on the water surface of the sample parts, the lead content of the material in the substrate part under the coating should be used to calculate the lead content of the parts;
C, if the parts of the water surface after lead washing, surface treatment and other lead removal process, calculation of the lead content of this part, should use the lead content of the bulk raw materials without any treatment.
